能書きはいきなり「科学の奇跡」

というわけで、ちょっと怪しげなブツを試してみた。

パープルプレートのページへ掲載されていた。

ま、３０ドルだからね。

金属製の燃料パイプで効果を発揮します。

燃料パイプがゴムの場合、燃料ポンプ上か、燃料ポンプの近くに設置してください。

　

１・車のボンネットを開き、燃料ラインへユニットに付属の2つのプラスチック製留具を使用してイオナイザを取り付けます。 （必要に応じてテーピングしてもＯＫ）

２・取り付け位置は、燃料ポンプとキャブレターの間の燃料ライン上であればどこでもＯＫ。

３・暑い季節にはイオナイザをエンジンから離れた燃料ラインから１５センチから２０センチの場所に設置しなければならないことがあります。暑い時は、車が駐車したり、走行していない状態でも、燃料が気化することがあります。

キャブレターの場合、気化した燃料のためガソリンが濃く、ピストン内が濡れた状態になるため、エンジンが始動しにくくなることがあるかもしれません。

暑い時期は、燃料ラインからイオナイザーを離すことにより、イオン化はより少なくなります。

４. 一定ガソリンでの走行距離とパフォーマンスを最大化。

イオン化のため燃料と空気の混合でガソリンの比率が濃くなることがあり、キャブレターの場合、燃料を１回あるいは２回給油したあとで、再調整する必要があるかも知れません。

　　

装着

というわけで、ボンネットを開けてみたが、燃料ポンプらしきものは発見できず。

ディーラーで聞いてみたが、営業担当の方も分からないというので、メカニックの方が登場。

すると・・

　　　

何と燃料ポンプの位置はリアシートの下。

メカニックの方は慣れた手つきで、リアシートを前へ倒し、遮音材をめくる。

すると、何とアクセスベイが隠れているのだった。

その蓋を開けると・・

　　

燃料ポンプというのは、リアシートの下あたりにあるという。

ほぼすべての車と言ってもいい定番の位置らしい。

ありゃあ、勉強になります。

最新の車だと燃料ポンプは、ガソリンタンクの中にある場合もあるという。

　　　　　

燃料パイプが金属製というケースは、ほとんどないという。

なので燃料パイプに近いところへ装着してもらった。

さて走り出すと・・

今までよりガスペダルを踏まなくても、同じように走る。

２５００回転も回せば、ほとんどの車を置き去りにできるため、燃費が伸びるのだろう。

Ｃ６の燃料タンク容量は７２リッター。

　　

半分ほどになったところで、走行距離は２８７キロ。

つまりリッター８キロ弱。

今までは６キロほどだったので、確かに燃費は伸びている。

　　

オレは燃費の奴隷ではないので、普段からあまり気にしていないのだが・・　

でも燃費がよくなると、なんだか得した気分になるからね。

FUEL IONIZER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Place the fuel ionizer on top of the intake manifold, beneath the air filter. If you are . unable to do so, you may attach the fuel ionizer to a metal fuel line going into the motor. For vehicles with carburetors the same application applies, but preferably next to the float bowl of the carburetor (usually the large side). It is imperative to use the straps provided to hold the fuel ionizer in place to insure safety.

DIRECTIONS

1. Open the hood of the car and locate the fuel line. Attach the Fuel Ionizer to the line using the two plastic fasteners supplied with each unit. (They can be taped on if so desired).
2. Installation may be made at any point on the fuel line between the fuel pump and the carburetor.

3. During periods of hot weather, the ionizer may have to be relocated anywhere on the engine but within approximately 6 to 8 inches away from the fuel line. During hot weather, the fuel may become too vaporized ... even when the car is parked and not being run. Vaporized fuel may s Pinto the carburetor keeping it wet with gasoline and the engine may be hard to start and the air-tfuelratio might become too rich: This condition can develop on certain cars but is no problem during the cooler period. By moving the ionizer away from the fuel line, less ionization takes place during hot weather.

4. FOR MAXIMUM MILEAGE AND PERFORMANCE

Ionization causes too rich a fuel mixture and carburetors should be readjusted (leaned out) after running one or two tanks of gas.

This small tube represents a "scientific breakthrough" with regard to fuel consumption on internal combustion engines. The atoms of the crystal materials within this tube (silica) have been altered by a unique and special process. These fuel ionizers are in resonance or in tune with higher energizes that create a field of "positive energy" that can pass through any type of material. When they are attached to the fuel line of an engine, they immediately start to ionize the fuel, causing the fuel to become more volatile. This causes the fuel to burn more completely and results in better mileage, better performance, and helps to reduce emissions. Installation requires about 2 to 3 minutes on any vehicle.
